When to use this

Run through before first power-on on site or bench.

Pre-power checklist

  • Compare physical patch to wiring plan row by row for critical paths (PGM, REF, audio master).
  • Verify network paths — VLAN, static IP, switch port — against diagram notes.
  • Confirm LED data chain direction matches wiring plan origin.
  • Check redundant paths — backup switcher, B encoder — actually wired, not just drawn.

Process

  • Two-person rule: one patches, one reads plan aloud.
  • Photo as-built rack and attach to project notes post-show for next tour leg.
