Port-to-port documentation

Every connection documented end-to-end — not just device names.

When to use this

Use when auditing a diagram for completeness before export.

Why port level matters

Device-to-device is not enough — "Switcher to Monitor" fails when the switcher has twelve outputs.

Port-to-port docs specify OUT 3 → IN 1 so tape matches reality.

In WireFlow

  • Name ports on devices during diagram build.
  • Connections store both endpoints — wiring plan inherits them.
  • Hidden ports stay out of exports unless connected — clean up before handoff.

Rack and wall ports

Rack internal connections and LED data paths appear in their respective wiring views — align naming with diagram labels.
