Cabinet size, pixel pitch, and resolution
How pitch affects pixel count, physical size, and what your content team needs to know.
When to use this
Use when validating whether a wall fits a stage width or meets broadcast resolution targets.
Physical dimensions
Total width = columns × cabinet width. Same for height with row count.
Compare against stage plot, trim height, and sight-line drawings — WireFlow gives you numbers for that conversation.
Pixel resolution
Total pixels = sum of cabinet pixel widths × heights across the grid.
Example: 20 cabinets wide × 192 px each = 3840 px horizontal (common for HD-width walls at certain pitches).
Share final resolution with graphics and playback so content is authored at native wall size.
Pixel pitch and viewing distance
- Finer pitch (lower mm number) — closer minimum viewing distance, more pixels, more processor load.
- Coarser pitch — larger venues, farther audience, lower pixel count.
- Match pitch to budget and content — do not over-spec pitch the audience cannot see.
