Planning vs show-day use

What WireFlow is for in LED prep — and what still happens on the processor laptop on site.

When to use this

Set expectations with PMs who ask if WireFlow "runs" the LED wall.

WireFlow in prep

  • Size the wall and validate processor port math before rental PO goes out.
  • Generate wiring and power docs for LED crew and venue.
  • Share view-only links so remote techs review before travel.
  • Export pixel map for content team.

On site

Processor configuration, brightness, color calibration, and failover still happen in manufacturer software on show day.

WireFlow documentation is the plan — update it when as-built differs (cabinet swapped, row removed).

Tip: Treat the WireFlow project as living documentation, not a replacement for NovaStar/Brompton/etc. control apps.

Common mistakes

  • Assuming exported map replaces processor file — always import/verify in target software.
  • Not updating wall project after on-site grid change — crew works from stale cabinet count.
